Welcome to Richmond Parks and Recreation! The City of Richmond Parks and Recreation staff is grounded in integrity, honesty, and a desire to exceed the expectations for the people who call Richmond, Missouri home. The Parks and Recreation Departments exist because of you — the citizens of Richmond; and also because the city workers, park board, council members, volunteers, and supporters of these entities work together as a team and care for the well-being and quality of life for the people of Richmond, as well as Richmond’s neighboring communities. Our goal is to give you every opportunity to have a more enjoyable life through well maintained parks and quality recreational programs that offer a variety of FUN for individuals of all ages in a friendly, home-town atmosphere. The City of Richmond has great facilities for exercise, picnicking, recreation, sports, and relaxation. We hope you’ll take some time to enjoy these facilities.

City Parks

Armour Park: 1013 West Royle Street, 7.6 acres; two shelters with BBQ grills, a ball field, swings, playground structure, horseshoe pits, dog park, and restrooms.

Southview Park: 333 East South St., 35.3 acres; public swimming pool, three ball fields, two soccer fields, one playground structure, one shelter house with BBQ grills, fishing lake, walking trail, picnic tables, restrooms outside of the pool, restrooms connected to the concession stand (near Southview B & C fields, and the community amphitheater.

Maurice Roberts Park: 819 E. Main St., 11.2 acres; three shelter houses with BBQ grills, four tennis courts with lights, swings, slides, two play ground structures, one sand volleyball pit, picnic tables, and restrooms.

Cevie Due Park: West Lexington. One basketball court, and Skate Park.

Hamann Park: 312 Crispin St., 7.65 acres, two shelters, two BBQ pits, six picnic tables per shelter, two playgrounds — one for youth 5-12 years and the other for youth 2-5 years of age, swings (coming in 2018), walking trail (approximately a quarter of a mile) that connects to the side walk on the East side of the park (near highway), restrooms, and large parking lot.  Commemorative brick pavers available for purchase.  Visit Hamann Park Pavers-Be a Part of History page for more information.

Firehouse Park: 300 South Shaw Street. Firehouse Park has .75 acre of land; one playground structure, park bench, and jungle dome — 2-5 years of age.

Rent a Shelter House
Park shelter house reservations may be obtained by calling City Hall at 776-5304 ext. 106. The fee is $30 per shelter per day. If you have a special request, please call and ask.

Rent The Gym
Gym reservations can be obtained by calling Haley at 816-776-5304 ext.116 at the recreation department.
The fee is 1 hour = $20, 2 hours = $40, each additional hour is $15 per hour.

Rent The Pool
Pool reservations may be obtained by calling Haley at 816-776-5304 ext.116 at the recreation department.
1-99 people- Monday-Thursday – $150.00 per 1.5 hours
100 people (or more) – Monday-Thursday – $170.00 per 1.5 hours
1-99 people- Friday-Sunday – $195.00 per 1.5 hours
100 people (or more) – Friday-Sunday – $220.00 per 1.5 hours

Shelter house behind the pool – $30/day
*Concession Stand – $24 per 1.5 hours
*Costs will still apply to purchase food

Registration Procedures
Note the registration dates for each activity, program or special event. The program fee must be paid in full by the registration deadline to be eligible to participate.  Click here to view registration procedure options.

Program Policies
The Richmond Recreation Department reserves the right to cancel, combine, or divide classes, programs, or reservations to change the time, date, fee, or place of meeting or to make necessary revisions in any program when necessary. Once a participant is placed on a team they will not be switched. NO REFUNDS.
