Lake History: the lake was excavated in 1965 by Ray Gill and Dr. Frank Crozier.  S.D. Driskill owned the east 80 acres.  This lake was originally named “Lake Luarle”  for the wives of the three owners: Lucille Gill, Ardis Driskill, and Lenore Crozier.

*   The City shall not be responsible to any boat operator or other person for injury or damage to property due to accidents occurring on Southview Lake or the surrounding property.
*   The lake is open all year-round from 6:00am-11:00pm.
*   Seasonal Restrooms.
*   Trolling Motors Only.
*   No Blocking the Ramp
*   No Swimming.
*   No Firearms.
*   No Smoking and/or Use of Tobacco Products, Alternative Nicotine Product, and Vapor Products. Click here for additional information.
*   A Missouri Department of Conservation fishing permit is required to fish at Southview Lake.  More information may be found on the Missouri Department of Conservation.

Creel Limits:

Bass – 12″ to 15″ protected; all other 6 per day
Catfish larger than 10″ – 5 per day
Crappie – 30 per day
Bluegill – 30 per day
Grass Carp may not be fished for or taken.
