Richmond, Missouri is a peaceful community of 6,013 in 6 square miles that offers quality of life and a low cost of doing business. Located just east of Kansas City via Missouri Hwy 210/10, we are close enough to connect with the KC Metro area, while maintaining a rural atmosphere. Transportation:
State routes MO 210, MO 10 and MO 13 run through the City connecting it to the major economic center in Kansas City to the west and south to Interstate 70, approximately 20 miles. The largest of these employers generate considerable amounts of traffic. Our Access Richmond transportation master plan provides long-term goals for business expansion needs. In addition, we have access to rail service and seven barge lines that operate on the Missouri River shipping channel just a few miles away. Hunt Midwest’s SubTropolis, the world’s largest underground business complex hosts one of the largest Foreign Trade Zone spaces in the United States and easily accessible via MO 210.

Greater Kansas City Foreign Trade Zone
Richmond is located within the Greater Kansas City Foreign Trade Zone, Inc. (GKCFTZ) is a regional grantee of the national FTZ program. GKCFTZ has been the grantee since 1974 and was the first non-profit organization to be designated a grantee. Zone 15 serves FTZ needs in 22 contiguous counties in the western half Missouri.

GKCFTZ is one of the largest zone operators in the country with more than 17.6 million square feet of approved foreign trade zone space that includes General Purpose and Subzone space in both Kansas and Missouri. The Kansas City trade zones handle more volume than those of Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Minneapolis and St. Louis and have more available space than any other area in the country.
