DESCRIPTION:
The City of Richmond is accepting applications for a Wastewater Plant Operator.  This position is responsible for the day to day operations of the Wastewater Plant.  Must be able to perform and understand all lab tests that are required for plant operations, mechanical ability to make minor adjustments and repairs to operating equipment.

To be considered for this position, the applicant must:

Successful applicant must have graduated high school or trade school or equivalent, valid Missouri drivers’ license, and proficient in basic computer skills.  Special consideration will be given to candidates who have completed a training program in wastewater treatment plants with an emphasis on Sequencing Batch Reactors (SBR’s), as well as those candidates who possess a Class A or B Wastewater Treatment certification issued by Missouri DNR.  No relocation provided.

SALARY:

QUALIFICATIONS:
Successful applicant must have a current valid Missouri Driver’s License, be available to work evenings, weekends, and some holidays. Qualified applicants shall possess mechanical ability and capable of operating equipment including dump trucks, skid steer, tractors, mowers, vac truck, and various hand tools. GIS mapping experience will be a plus. Preference may be given to those with a CDL.

DESCRIPTION:
The City of Richmond is accepting applications for an Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Worker. This position performs varied physical labor and semi-skilled and skilled tasks in the maintenance and repair of water and wastewater equipment and facilities under the supervision of the Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Chief.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assists in repair and maintenance of wastewater pumps, motors, and associated equipment.
  • Assists and performs shop and field maintenance on all systems including troubleshooting, the repair and replacement of broken parts and equipment.
  • Inspects, tests, and cleans various pieces of electrical equipment and components and documents and reports findings and results to supervisor.
  • Performs both mechanical and electrical repairs as directed of manholes, catch basins, pump stations, reservoirs, and other facilities.
  • Operates a variety of hand and power tools, electrical meters/measurement devices, acetylene/oxygen torches, power wrenches, air compressors, etc. in maintaining and adjusting various items of equipment both fixed and portable.

Education and Experience:

  • Successful applicant must have a High School diploma.
  • Class C wastewater operator’s license or ability to obtain one.
  • Valid Class A CDL preferred, ability to obtain one required.
  • Electrical/mechanical work experience preferred.
  • Background check and post-offer drug test is required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit, walk, stand, and bend over for prolonged periods.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds at times.

DESCRIPTION:  The City of Richmond is accepting applications for a Firefighter/EMT.  Qualified applicants must be highly motivated, energetic professionals. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: fire suppression activities, performs emergency rescue activities, provides emergency medical care, response to hazardous materials incidents, operations of associated equipment and apparatus; participate in training activities to maintain and improve the level of fire suppression and emergency medical skills, inspects and maintains equipment, performs preplans and fire inspections, and involvement in fire preventions programs.

QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum of 18 years of age; High School graduate or equivalent; possess a valid Missouri Driver’s License with no restrictions; a driving record that demonstrates responsible and safe driving behavior; applicants must be physically able to perform the duties of a Firefighter/EMT; and must live within 15 minutes response time or willing to relocate during employment.
