Bikers Make It Richmond!

Bicyclers after a race

Bikers Make It RichmondOn Monday, September 12, around 500 bikers were warmly welcomed to Richmond for a water stop on South Camden Street, as they made their way across Missouri with the Bike Across Missouri group. Beginning in Weston, they will take six days to get to Louisiana, MO, taking time to look around the towns and meet the people on the way.

“This is the best stop we have had so far,” was the comment by bikers from many states and even Canada. City Hall staff (the girls in pink) made sure they were welcomed, rehydrated, and supplied with a variety of snacks. Many cameras came out of pockets for the photo op available, and the shade provided a welcome relief from the summer heat. Thanks, Farris Theater for making restrooms available. Some bikers took time to see our sites, eat in our restaurants, and even stay overnight in Richmond, although the official Monday night stop was Lexington.

Thanks, BAM RIDERS, for MAKING IT RICHMOND!
