August 18, 2017- FIREFIGHTER/EMT: The City of Richmond is currently seeking to fill a position as Firefighter/EMT. Qualified applicants must be highly motivated, energetic professionals. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: fire suppression activities, performs emergency rescue activities, provides emergency medical care, response to hazardous materials incidents, operations of associated equipment and apparatus; participate in training activities to maintain and improve the level of fire suppression and emergency medical skills, inspects and maintains equipment, performs pre plans and fire inspections, involvement in fire prevention programs. Minimum Qualifications: Minimum of 18 years of age, High School Graduate or equivalent, possess a valid Missouri Drivers License with no restrictions, possess a driving record that demonstrates responsible and safe driving behavior, physically able to perform the duties, and live within 15 minute response time or willing to relocate during employment. Preferred Qualifications: MO State Certified Firefighter I & II, MO State Certified in Hazardous Materials Response, and State Certified and Licensed Emergency Medical Technician. October 9, 2017 – Richmond Dolphin Swim Team Coach/Coordinator: The City of Richmond, MO is accepting applications for the Dolphin Swim Team Coach/Coordinator. Qualified applicants must be at least 20 years of age, have a high school diploma, CPR/AED/First Aid Certification, able to pass an American Red Cross Safety Training Course for Swim Coaches, experience as a competitive swimmer, organizing swim meets and practices. Applicants must be able to demonstrate proficiency in swim skills and a strong foundation in stroke mechanics, ability to communicate effectively with swimmers and their parents. Individuals applying must be enthusiastic and possess a dynamic presence along with good communication skills. Qualified applicants must be able to attend/coordinate practices Monday through Friday (practice time pending), attend all meets, including meets in other towns such as Liberty, Excelsior Springs, Cameron, St. Joseph, Savannah, and possibly other locations.
