DESCRIPTION:
The City of Richmond is accepting applications for Wastewater Plant Operator in Public Works. This position is responsible for the operation of the wastewater treatment plant, laboratory, and disposal of sludge in accordance with MDNR. This position operates a major wastewater treatment facility to treat sewage and to ensure customers are provide with proper waste disposal.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operates the wastewater treatment plant including related subsystems and instrumentation. Monitors the treatment process from the control boards/computer screens, physical monitors various treatment processes. Monitors wastewater effluent by performing laboratory tests at various stages in the treatment process including tests for fecal coliform, odors, and other tests as necessary to ensure MDNR wastewater quality standards are met, calibrates laboratory equipment; maintains laboratory records. Reads gauges and meters; interprets data to maintain the proper treatment process, proper distribution operation, security, and alarm status. May operate or perform as crew member on wastewater jetter system as required to clean collection system. These are only “examples” of work duties, employee will be expected and required to perform other job-related duties as assigned by their supervisor.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Successful applicant must have a High School diploma. Must possess a valid Missouri Driver’s License with no restrictions. Experience in wastewater treatment is preferred.

SALARY:
This is a full-time non-exempt position and eligible for overtime; salary ranges $40, 518.40-$61,235.20; based on experience and qualifications.  Benefits package includes paid holidays, vacation and sick leave, Missouri Local Government Employees Retirement System (LAGERS), medical, dental, vision and life insurance. Available voluntary benefits include Aflac supplemental insurance, 457(b) retirement plan, term life insurance, and flexible spending accounts (FSA) for medical expenses and dependent care.

DESCRIPTION:The City of Richmond is accepting applications for a Patrol Officer for the Police Department.  We are seeking qualified applicants who are highly motivated, energetic, professional, and community-oriented individuals interested in law enforcement.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Answers calls for service and writes an/or files reports. Patrols areas as directed by supervisor. QUALIFICATIONS:Minimum of 21 years of age; High School graduate or equivalent, college level is preferred. Must possess a valid Missouri Driver’s License with no restrictions; a driving record that demonstrates responsible and safe driving behavior. Applicants must also be Missouri P.O.S.T. certified.

DESCRIPTION: The City of Richmond is accepting applications for Southview Pool Concession Workers, Ball Field Concession Workers, Gym Concession Workers, and Southview Pool Front Gate Attendants.  Concession positions are responsible for all operations within the concession stand for the day.  This includes counting inventory, preparing the stand for the day, taking orders for food and beverages, presenting prices, processing payments, operating food preparation equipment, and maintaining the stands to be clean and sanitized.  There are two types of concession workers 1) Pool Concessions: this worker will also work at the pool as the front gate attendant on select days.  2) Other Concessions: this worker will work at the ball field concession stand and concessions in the City Gym.  Front Gate Attendants will monitor the front gate of the Southview Pool, manage transactions, assure that patrons are being checked in correctly, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS: Successful applicant must have strong communication skills, must be courteous and friendly, and must be able to handle money responsibly.  Applicants must be at least be 14 years of age, available to work evenings, weekends, and some holidays.

SALARY: Non-Exempt – Base salary $15.00/hour

DESCRIPTION: The City of Richmond is accepting applications for Southview Pool Lifeguards.  This position is responsible for ensuring the safety of patrons by preventing and responding to emergencies and assist in maintaining the pool and surrounding area to desired standards.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: A lifeguard employed with the City of Richmond Parks & Recreation Department is responsible for the health, safety and welfare of those using the Southview Pool.  A Lifeguard’s major responsibility is to observe swimmers and enforce regulations in the guarding of life and the prevention of accidents at the Southview Pool.  Lifeguards may also teach swim lessons.

QUALIFICATIONS: Successful applicant must have strong swimming skills (must be able to swim 300 yards, swim to bottom of pool in the deep end, tread water for at least two minutes, etc), strong observational skills, strong communication skills, an excellent level of concentration, and the ability to keep calm and act quickly in an emergency.  Applicants must be at least 15 years old and have a current American Red Cross Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED Certification, or be able to obtain certification by May 22, 2026 or before their first day of lifeguarding.  Applicants must be available to work evenings, weekends, and some holidays.

SALARY: Non-Exempt – Base salary: $15.00 per hour

DESCRIPTION: The City of Richmond is accepting applications for Southview Pool Supervisors.  This position is responsible for the safe overall daily operation of the Southview Swimming Pool, including supervising pool staff, supervising front gate staff, and supervising the concession staff.  This position will also oversee conduct of pool events, ensuring collection and security of revenue, keep daily records of attendance and chemical use, overseeing events, swim lessons, attending in-service training, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS: Successful applicant must have strong communication skills, familiar with general pool operations, previous experience as a lifeguard or in a pool setting; customer focused, good conflict resolution skills, ability to swim and obtain an American Red Cross Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED Certification, or be able to obtain certification by June 1, 2026.  Applicants must be available to work evenings, weekends, and some holidays.

SALARY: Non-Exempt – Base salary $17.11/hour
