Richmond residents and businesses have a new and more convenient way to manage, pay and receive their City of Richmond monthly utility bills. The City is now offering online account management, automatic credit or debit card payment and e-billing options.
Online Account Management
Online account management allows customers to view their account and payment history and pay their bill. One of the beneficial features of online account management is the ability to compare monthly consumption. The consumption tab has a visual bar graph with current and previous year usage by month. This makes it easy for customers to view monthly water usage and compare it to the prior year’s usage. To set up an online account, utility customers can visit ubi.gworks.com/richmondmo. The process is simple and will only take a few minutes. When setting up an online account, customers will need a copy of their utility bill for the account number and property location exactly as they appear on the utility bill.
Automatic Utility Bill Payments
After the online access is established, customers can choose to set up automatic credit/debit card payments. This new option makes it more convenient to pay monthly utility bills and avoid late payments, as the payments will automatically be processed on the due date of the bill. As a reminder, the City also offers a free automatic bank pay option (ACH from checking and savings accounts). To enroll, complete an authorization form and return it. Forms are available on the City of Richmond website at ACH Authorization Form and at City Hall.
E-Bills
Another new option for Richmond utility customers is the addition of e-billing. Customers interested in paperless billing can now sign up to receive e-bills instead of the standard postcard bill in the mail. An enrollment form must be completed and returned. To enroll, complete the Utility E-Bill Online Authorization Form.
City of Richmond water, sewer and trash customers are encouraged to contact City Hall at 816-776-5304 with any questions about the new online account management, automatic payments, and e-billing options.
